Ethiopian Guji Washed and Natural Gr.1-4

The Shakiso coffee is known for high quality coffees. Like other semi forest coffee, the farm is dominated with evergreen big canopy endemic tree species giving the farm multi canopy structure. Under the Canopy of the big trees there are varieties of other tree species, herbaceous plants, different kinds of spices, ferns other kind of plant life forms and is established in virgin forest with high biomass and humus soil layer. Dropped weed vegetative parts and Leaf falling from shade trees decompose on the coffee farm to maintain soil fertility. Compost from plant material and apply on the farm. Mainly, leaves dropping from shade trees as well as slashed weed vegetative parts are decomposed on coffee farm under the coffee plant to maintain soil fertility. Coffee is grown as agro forestry system and each farm is distinct, defined and adequately separated from neighbouring farm and adjacent public forest.
